The combination of trainers who truly care if you show up to class and fellow boot campers who praise and push you along your journey is what keeps me coming back. There is the great benefit of pounds and inches lost and muscles being toned, but just as important is the empowerment that attending sessions brings. In 2014, I walked through the doors of Columbia Life & Fitness Boot Camp for the first time with a friend who had just joined. I figured, ok, I'll join with her and have a partner. Well, she didn't come back and a few weeks later, neither did I. Fast forward almost a year later and I found myself walking through the doors again, this time on a solo mission. What I discovered this go round was that the decision to improve me had to be mine and I had to be the reason. Then and only then did I realize that the consistent workout partners I thought I needed were behind the doors of Columbia Life & Fitness Boot Camp. Mike & Ken are not only great trainers, they are great molders of a positive atmosphere of support and encouragement....this place and the people behind the doors are synonymous with family. One of the things Ive appreciated most was the camaraderie formed with the other boot campers; they are motivation personified. There are no words for the trainers, they are simply awesome encouragers (and pushers when necessary)! While here, I've had setbacks & successes, but what I will always take with me is the reinforcement of one of their most consistent messages, and that is the WILL IS WITHIN, mind over matter. Mike will always tell you to "say something good to yourself", and Ken reminds you that "it gets 'gooder'"! What can I say, I love bootcamp!

Columbia Fitness Boot Camp is AWESOME! What I most appreciated about Boot Camp (there are several) is all of the encouragement and support given by the trainer and the ladies in the classes. We go hard each session I attend and no one is left behind or made to feel they can't achieve what's being done. We are always pushed to do just a little bit more - which is good.

I like how we keep up with each other not only in class but outside of class as well, especially through our group chat.

I like the results - you feel and look strong. Oh and how when you receive that complement of you look great, I see you killing it or girl keep doing what you are doing it looks good on you. Even my medical provider was impressed.

Mike and Ken, while they may give you a hard time but it's all in Love, they genuinely care about me.

I have been with Columbia Life & Fitness Boot Camp almost two years and I have found a place that suits me perfectly. The workouts are designed in such a way that whether you are an in-shape seasoned 25-year-old athlete or a 52-year-old woman (like me) with pounds to lose, you are going to get a great workout. The fitness levels in each class vary and as a result, everyone fits in and no one is left behind. In addition to this, Michael provides motivation, health and nutrition information, and truly cares about the well-being of each of us. He gets to know us individually; our strengths, our weaknesses, how to challenge us when we need it, and pushes us out of our comfort zone so we continue to improve and exceed our own expectations. Going to that boot camp changed my life forever. My first class was the first week in February 2015 and I weighed in at 188lbs that morning. Mike & Ken both do a great job at keeping the class fun and challenging while still being attentive to each person's limits. Each person in the class has different levels of intensity options as no one person is the exact same when it comes to working out and the workouts are structured to each persons level of intensity whether it be expert or beginner. Each class I went to I felt myself getting stronger both mentally and physically and I was able to slowly increase my intensity levels with Mike and Ken's support. I began to eat healthier (green/protein smoothies etc) and followed Mike's meal plan like it was literally the only meal plan option in existence. The support from the other ladies and Mike/Ken was nothing but positive. Mike constantly educated us on what to eat and what not to eat, which turns out was a part of the problem. Being a part of a group class kept me on a regular schedule to where I HAD to be there those three days a week. All those other gyms where it's go at your leisure or on your own pace was not enough commitment for me. Mike held us accountable for what we ate during the week and expected us to show up for every class, which really kept me on point. Six months later, August 2015 I weighed in at 128lbs with a total weight loss of 60lbs in 6 months. But the absolute best part by far is I am healthier (mentally and physically) than I have EVER been in my entire life. The transformation was not just physical; in fact the weight loss was just a small bonus. I can't describe in words how beneficial exercise is for your brain. Working out regularly really affects your moods and endorphin's. I noticed I was much more clear-headed, peaceful and happy. Even though I have lost most of my excess weight and am almost to where I want to be physically, it is a lifestyle change. Exercise and eating right is now a part of my everyday life and I realize now how important it is to be healthy. I want to say thank you to Mike, Ken and all the ladies from boot camp for all the positive support and motivation. As the year 2015 comes to a close I look back at how far I have come mentally as well as physically and now I am able to say that I am proud of who I am, all I have accomplished and truly LOVE myself.

At age 30 I had my first child, during my pregnancy I gained 36 lbs. Shortly after my daughter was born I began working out. Over the next 4 years I was on again & off again. Joining random "boot camps", losing a few lbs here and there & gaining them right back. It wasn't until I joined Columbia Life & Fitness Boot Camp that I made a solid commitment to turn my health around.  The family feel and the one on one personal attention to each members needs made CLFB so much different & better than any program I have EVER tried. This is by far one of the BEST parts of the program. The greatest benefit I have received during my 2 year membership is knowledge! Not only do we workout together, but we learn together as well. Making a lifestyle is not easy, but with the right tools, knowledge, people & support it can be done!. We receive this & so much more during each & every session! I am proud to say with the help of my boot camp family. I've lost a total of 58lbs, & dropped from a 22/24W to a 16W! The support from these ladies & the trainers is amazing.
